painting brake caliper
#31
It is a matter of a personal taste I guess. I would do pure white instead of silver. Red is a traditional caliper color, so, that is why I suggested it.
Here attached is an image of how G2 red paint looks like. I am a sloppy painter so do not take that against me. Not if I would care anyway plus from 4' distance no one can see any imperfections anyway. Close-up photo shows more details than eye can even see. When I look at it I see no irregularities on surface, but under flash it looks like there are some. Well, no big deal for me.
Like I said before - major issue here is for weather not to bee too cold as it takes forever for paint to dry up when it`s cold and you cannot apply decals on wet paint so you have to keep car on jacks.

At least choose a different shade red or people might think it is an "S"....
BTW - A younger kid (late 20's, stranger) parked next to me a few months ago in a parking lot to talk about our P-cars He had red calipers, custom "S" floormats, no rear badge, and told me it was an '05 997 "S". I believed him, until I sat in it and noticed he had standard door sills. He also had only two rear tail pipes. I told him "nice car", and didn't exchange info.
We've seen this thread before.

It is my hope that non-S owners will be judged by their peers on a case-by-case basis. I do not believe that a non-S owner should be limited from modifying his car with standard features from an S, as long as he doesn't claim to have an S and doesn't rebadge the car with an 'S' anywhere. This has been my long-standing opinion on the threads we've seen before and I stand by it.
