2006 Carrera 4s Navigation
Hi guys! I am new to this forum. I own a 2006 Carrera 4s and I have no idea how to get navigation working. Do I need some sort of a module for the PCM? or just a navigation CD? If I do need a module, could I put it on myself or do I need to take it to a shop? Any help would me much appreciated!

You can find them from time to time on ebay, or buy them new from a dealer. Here is a link for Suncoast.

You need a DVD player and an antenna, and the dealer needs to turn it on with the PIWIS.

Is your NAV unit installed...or is it simply not functioning?
If you aren't the first owner...I believe the '06 cars sold with NAV had the DVD hardware module installed in the frunk. If you don't have the actual hardware, then you'll need to upgrade if you want it. If your car does have the DVD hardware, but not the actual DVD disk, then you can source the DVD pretty easily.
Also, you can get a list of software/modules currently enabled on your car by hitting the trip and info buttons at the same time on your PCM. (At least I think those two buttons...the button combination is referenced in the manual.)
