New Passport (Escort) single suction cup mount

Just wanted to give a heads up on the new Super Cup mount that was recently released by Escort.
Well, it's a nice mount. However there arew two glaring issues: 1) there is no way to mount it near the rearview mirror on either side without it interferring with the visor (in the down position) and 2) it rattles when the detector is inserted. That could be solutioned by installing a foam strip or bumper, but out of the box, it rattles.
Other than those two issues, it is a solid mount, and grabs like a pit bull!

Thumbs up Super Cup

I have one as well, all I can say is this will not fall off! I was getting tired of my original one sometimes just dropping off in extreme heat or cold. This super cup is on like glue! I agree with other posts, its a bit bigger, and this will limit a bit your mounting options. It has a cam on the back of suction cup, very similar to GPS type devices.

I got one too - in the drawer now as I don't care for the bulk. The small, clear cups, create way less windshield clutter.

I think it could hold the detector just below the rear view mirror and work OK, but I prefer a lower position and have had no trouble with the small clear cups, so I'm sticking with those for now.

I also see where they now are selling a few dash mount options too. With rear of our cars being so high, I don't think dash mount will allow the rear sensor "see" out the back.

To follow up, yes, it is very similar to the Garmin mount. One problem I had with the Garmin mount was that it literally adhered to the glass and when I finally got it off, there were chunks of rubber pulled from the suction cup, and it never sealed well after that. I think applying something to the rubber surface to help it release might be in order.

Clear cups last in good condition for a few weeks, they fall off on extreme heat or colder days. When you replace them are hard to fit. I think I'll try this MEGA CUP. BTW it will fit new BEL radars.

Mine have been on since last May. I have probably removed them once or twice cleaning the windshield. Don't know about replacement issues - i have some spare cups and a mount for another car - seemed easy enough to deal with.

Probably doesn't get as hot or cold here as it does in Puerto Rico.

That new mount is strong - could probably double as a dent puller.
