Sorry about your wife. But speaking of which, I can't stand it when they put make-up on in the car. That's what bathrooms are for and my car is not a bathroom. Plus, you're in a Porsche so you'd better be hot already so make-up is optional anyway.

Fly is infamous around these parts
Along those lines:

One of the funniest things said on Top Gear is you will have a skinny wife to fit your skinny kids in the back of the 997 TT.

He was right!

+1 new rule: Must be skinny.

I once took a friend for a ride. He has a broad muscular build and started complaining about how uncomfortable the sport seats were in the shoulders - I immediately dropped him off.

I had a Triumph Spitfire in high school and there was not one driving instructor small enough to fit in the factory seat belt. I had to reschedule three times to get my license. Lesson learned!

slamming the door is #1 on my list. I just don't get how people can be so inconsiderate.

it also bothers me when I find that passengers can't keep their feet on the mats in the footwell.

You must have been very comfortable to be able to go to the toilet in front of your new wife, and in your nice car......are there not services on US roads?

Not toilet, as you French would say "making love"

My only rule is not to let the **** retentive in my car. I probably wouldn't allow smoking in it, but no one has asked. Its fine to eat, drink, talk, play music, fart, etc. I prefer the door be closed using the glass instead of the paint, but I don't sweat it either way.

I love my car. Its fun to drive. I enjoy using it. And I like to share it. And, it is just a car, as great as it is.

Just to clarify point # 7: When you park on an incline, or even on fairly steady ground if you do not use the parking brake, you can place a lot of stress on the transmission.

Ah, makes sense now. Was worded like you DIDN'T want others to use the brake.
