Making the Move in Miami..down to 2 colors...ATLAS!!
Hello Ladies and Gents! Finally worked up deals on a triple black full leather c2s cab...AND an Atlas Gray with standard black leather. Both babies are optioned fairly close to each other, with the exception of the full leather...and I can't decide! I'm excited if you could not tell!

Every time I buy a black car (I've had 5 different in the past few years) I tell myself never again! I swear the color gives me OCD. Get Atlas Grey. After this car I'm done with black at least for my DD.

Hi Scott...i know the feeling. I went from a silver M5 to a black one and swore for the first 6 months...finally accepted how awesome it looks when she is clean.
Hey Jen - Awesome Cab! Do you find Atlas much more forgiving? I have tried to see one in person but the two main dealers here in Miami do not have a single car with that color.

I have an Atlas Grey C4S coupe, and I love the color. Depending on the light it can look like dark blue, grey or even black. I haven't had a black car in a long time but I think it might be slightly more forgiving.

Yes. That and it's a bear to maintain. My parents live in Naples and I've spent some serious time down there and re-locating ASAP. I've owned black cars. The intense sun and humidity make black for me in the south a no go.

Agree. Black will drive you crazy trying to keep it looking good for longer than 15 minutes, plus black paint in a semi-tropical climate like southern Florida will make you sweat just looking at it. The gray is a good compromise.

Black color is a mixed blessing. If you are willing to commit quite some time in keeping it clean and swirl free, no other color would reward you as much as black. If not, do not go with black. Personally I would never be able to tolerate swirl marks on a black car. That's why 90% of my detailing/washing is devoted to my wife's astroblack MINI.

I Had a 06 triple black Carrera S Cab....NEVER EVER AGAIN...no more Cab's and no more black. I like the coupe feel much better.
So what does my wife do...she goes out and buys a all black Cayenne S...ARRRRRGH!

Both colors are great but I love black. I am not a cab person but could not imagine the car in any other color . I prefer the absence of contrast. It takes effort to keep it clean but i feel its a labor of love .

Once you go black, you never go back! This is my third black car in a row and I'll probably continue to stay with it. Today's detailing products such as polishes that automatically break down as you apply them and the current generation of random orbitals with foam pads make taking care of a black car much less of an issue than it used to be. When I started with my first black car back in 1985 I had to learn how to use a direct drive machine and I learned the hard way by burning some paint. Fortunately, that is a thing of the past with today's excellent products.
Now as far as SOFLA goes that's a different story. Get a white car which reflects sunlight and whatever you do definitely get the ventilated seats, even here in NJ they make a nice difference. No offense to any of our members who live in the sunshine state (or is it the sunLIFE state now ). Florida, be it south, central or even north is the absolutely last place I'd like to live. OK, so there's no snow but you have things like hurricanes, intense thunderstorms with killer lighting, hail and tornadoes/waterspouts, sink holes, aliigators, crocodiles, sharks, palmetto bugs (jumbo-sized ****roaches that fly!), those little lizzards, "no-see-ums", etc. Sorry but I'll take the snow and cold temps anyday over all that stuff.
