Muffler bypass + PSE

Hey guys/gals, I recently purchased a 06' C2S with PSE(amongst other options), I love the sound of the PSE but want to make it louder. I thought about AWE High-Flow Cats, but $1200+ for cats is a lot. I would love to have muffler bypass noise when the PSE is switched on, and sport sound when its off. I love loud, but want to be able to control it, just because of the type of car it is. I have searched and searched, but can't find a straight answer. Is there anyway to have a muffler bypass on a PSE when in the open position. Any answers are greatly appreciated, Thanx

sounds like a custom job. A good muffler job could do it, but it would probably be expensive.

+1 and not only that your custom job would produce no gains for the money but swapping the CATs would.

BMC air filter + high flow cats is probably what will do the trick for you. A little pricey, but worth the incremental HP along with the enhanced sound.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but think you should consider the above.

To do a very custom job like that would end up costing almost as much if not the same/more as High flow Cats and with no horsepower gain. Essentially, what would be required is a motorized valve that can be opened and closed through the PSE switch. When the switch is turned on, a valve before the mufflers would be opened bypassing the mufflers, and when switched off the valve would close forcing the exhaust to go through the PSE mufflers.

Just add the cats. I had them with my PSE on last car and the combination is great. If you don't like it, you can always re-sell the cats.

If you don't like the HFC's, I'll buy them from you.
