I am thinking of ordering a C2 / C2S to my exact specs and was wondering:

a) What is the current lead time to get a 2010 still?
b) When can I order a 2011?
c) What is reasonable to expect off? Right now I have a few quotes from 5-7% off retail.

I just took delivery of a 2010 C4S. I did not custom order it. I was able to get 7% off. When I asked the question a few weeks ago, I was told start with 10% off and be happy with 8%.

Personally, I got it from Champion and they were very "unsales like" in that they were not pushing me to make a quick decision. I was in there on 3 separate occasions over 2 weeks. I took at least 6 test drives most without a sales person. When they didn't have my color on site they didn't push me to take a different color, etc.. they spent a lot of time with me and were extremely accommodating. For that reason, I felt happy with 7% off and decided not to push any harder.

 

Thanks for sharing that. It is great to finally hear a story from someone willing to pay for service and feeling they got what they paid for. All the time spent on this forum ranting about what you should pay, and getting the absolute lowest price and walking away from the deal if you don't get's really old. It's particularly hard to swallow when we're talking about cars that cost as much as a new 911.

 

If you want a 2010, order it now. I was told that cars being ordered after April will be 2011's when delivered (with a small price increase). I will be ordering a C4S in May and expect delivery in October as a 2011. I was told that the new 998 (or whatever it's called) will be 2012 cars with delivery starting in summer 2011. BTW, was offered an 8% discount on the 2011 car.

 

Thanks guys. I am currently deciding on between ordering exactly what I want or to get one off of the lot (presumably for a bigger savings). I am also looking for a new 2009 if I can get the right equipment.
