used.07/08 ,models....................

take into account, huge change for model year 2009. New engine/tranny, much better aquisition IMHO, than a 2007 or 2008. No difference between 09 and 10, could get a better deal on an 09 if you can get what you want.....................Also, the 09s have the LEDs.all in all, alotta good changes in 09........least of all, PDK........Tiptronic what?????

Not as bad as all that - you do have "M" to do whatever you want. (and serioulsy, 7th at 35??? )

About a month ago when I was buying my 06' the dealer offered me a New 2009 C2S with a window sticker of $104k for $85k. it was so tempting...

Concur...I was looking at anything from 2006-2008 C2S to replace my traded/sold 05 997 base in Dec and Jan and my dealer had an 06 nicely optioned C2S white/black as well as an 09 C2 base with PDK no sport chrono, no nav for $72k/sale $69k and an few 09's each discounted about 10-15% depending on the car. He offered me a launch car, 09 C2S pdk, sports chrono, PASM, Sat XM, and few other goodies for about a little over 10% off. I did a little looking and found the same vehicle offered by other dealers around the country (at least 4) at more than 15-18% off. I went back with a list of every comparable/similar vehicle to his and offered 25% off and ended up somewhere around 22% off for the '09 C2s PDK car mentioned. SO it is possible but you may have to comprimise a bit and look around for example my car didn't have NAV and wasn't my TOP #1 color choice but I was willing to accept it as it was color wise and the rest I can and have added as needed (i.e. PSE and paddle PDK shifters, multifxn wheel, NAV, etc).

Says the guy with PDK and Sports Chrono. Seriously though, in "D" it always seems to be about one or two gears higher than I would have it. Like I said when I drive it Sport is always on. I actually almost bought a PDK without SC, and I am very glad I didn't.

Me too...glad I read abit more and got the PDK w/sport chrono. And yes it does hunt to 7th gear when left in drive and you sometimes find yourself a gear or two above what Sport would be in or what you would have chosen. Lack of SC may save a few bucks but you'll loose alot of the "fun" factor which in my opinion defines this car and new engines.
