Porsche 997 GT3 Seats installed in C2S at G Rides

This was done to 6Speed Member Axxlrods Porsche, who has been adding a lot of Alcantara Bits and these seats are a real nice addition. These seats came out of a GT3 RS, which was equipped with a Roll Bar. The seat backs had some marks on them from contacting the Roll Bar, we did not set out for a perfect repair, Axxlrod really just wanted to have a decent clean up of the marks done. There is a decent paint touch-up guy here in town who did just that to the seat backs. He masked off the the areas where paint shouldn't go, sanded down the damaged area and blended in the paint. Not a perfect repair but really a nice improvement for the $ and time spent. The seats were installed and there is no Air Bag Light. The GT3 RS Seats look better, are more comfortable and deffinitely more supportive. Thanks for the work Axxlrod, really appreciate it.

Before Repair

Repaired Seat

Lots of leg room in the back seat with no front seat

Alcantara with the GT3 Seats really go nice with the rest of the Alcantara additions, (Dash, Steering Wheel, Shift **** & Boot, etc.)

Nice work -- it does pull everything together nicely.

Looks great. Two questions:

1) wouldn't have been easier/cheaper to "re-skin" the inside panels of some sport seats?
2) what does the owner plan to do to "match" the rear seats since they're all leather?

In this case, where the seats were pre-owned and bought at a pretty good deal, I don't know that cheaper could have been done nor easier.

I'll have to let Axxlrod field that one. But he does seem to leave the back seat, seat backs down most of the time so I don't think he's too worried about it. If he did want to have Alcantara added to the rear seats we could have that taken care of.

My car came with the standard comfort seats, which I found to be somewhat uncomfortable. I was keeping my eye open for a pair of sport seats or even adaptive sport seats, when these seats came along. The fact they had alcantara inserts was a bonus.

They were damaged as you can see by the pics, but my paint guy did a pretty good job of repainting the backs.

I can't believe how much more comfortable these seats are and they really hold you in place much better also. Plus they are lighter than the power seats I had before.

I have no plans for the rear seats to be matched. In fact I might as well take them out as I never use them.

Looks great. I'm an Alcantara addict as well, and considered purchasing those very seats. But driving a cab (almost always top-down), they weren't heated and I didn't think I could stand giving up heated seats.
But beautiful job and great looking car. Congrats.
I'll have to keep looking...

That's funny b/c I also think the comfort seats are uncomfortable. Also looking for black sport seats.

Good on you. It looks great.

I have the non-power sport seats in my care and I absolutely love them. Very supportive, very comfortable, and they look, feel, and smell great.

I recently did my first driver's control clinic with the local PCA club and was amazed how much difference good seats make when you're really driving hard. HUGE!

Safe travels.

GT3RS seats? Those are simply Sport Seats (non-adaptives). No power for fore aft adjustments. Nice job with the Alcantara inserts - nice dash as well!
I like mine, but I find the seat bottoms are really narrow. Much narrower than the stock seats. If you are looking for them, be sure to find a car at a dealer and check them out in advance.

Wow I'm in love with that interior. Did you order the car with all that Alcantara or have it installed aftermarket? I would love to have a stitched Alcantara dash.
