Agency power exhaust + Softronic from Vivid Racing

Fellas

Just got on the phone with Dan from Vivid, and soon my 997.2 will be rolling with the Agency Exhaust system and a Softronic flash tunning.

I'll be posting vids with pre and after exhaust and the impressions of each mod, given they'll probably be installed in different weeks.

Dan at Vivid was really nice and knowledgeable in the subject without blowing his product to unbelievable proportions of goodness.

I'm not looking for loud exhaust, just a deeper note that I think the flat 6 is currently missing. Believe it or not, the american exhaust is the louder of 3 variations that Porsche offers (European is quiter and asian is the quietest, according to the 09 internal manual).

What made me go with this system, besides the seller's reputation, was the price. Any bypass system will cost close to this and any new system (without bypass) will cost a lot more than this one. The cost/benefit of the
Agency is a tough one to beat on paper, I'll tell you guys soon in real life.

Cheers!

Clips on the way, not so sure when I'll be able to install them...It will be interesting to downshift using PDK and listen to the different noises the engine makes on each rev.

The mod bug got me a long time ago, at the time we worked on Webers (that's a carburetor - the youth can google it or facetube it, like James May use to say)...Old 1.8 l derived from an Audi 80, really old school. It yanked w/o turbo some 140 cv and that's it.

I'm curious as well, haven't got the cable yet, so mod not applied so far.
I got the exahaust, quickly, just having some trouble finding someone to install it. It's borderline DIY, so I'm trying regular shops that work with mufflers. So far, none came forward to do it, as simple as it is, with written instructions included...

Why not have the local dealer install the exhaust?

Gotta get that tracking number on the Durametric professional kit and then you will be Flashing in no time! Remember once you receive the cable follow the instructions at www.vrtuned.com.

Please make sure to post up install pics

The stealership here is far and expensive. For instance, right after buying my car from them, I asked to hardwire my radar detector-a service done for free in several places. They asked for one full working hour (about 125) for a service that layman here took 15 mins alone.

I'll have to find a place where they don't look scared once they see the car, like "hey bubba ain't it one of them sports cars?"

Here we can count on the stealership only for warranty services. A glorified oil change runs for 625, which I can have it done with the same oil and filters for about 100, if that much. That's one of the time the Durametric cable pays for itself...

Dan, no worries on the cable, I understand you depend on a third part to have it sent.

I might end up doing that, but it's a hassle raising the car not to mention the tendency I have to break stuff.

The Durametric cable is here, thanks Dan for the push. Very cool tool using the software 6. Can actually change things in the car, for instance, the annoying beeping for everything... Shame can't do that to the Cayenne, still version 5 for that.

I'll be uploading the ECU file hopefully tomorrow, soon as I have the new file, will flash and go for a ride. Let you guys know asap.

Cheers

Do you have the enthusiast Durametric cable or the pro version?

Give the exhaust a shot yourself. I did a full exhaust install in one night last weekend. The cans are easier than you think. If you get stuck we can help you out.
