997 Aero Kit
#2
I don't know about a 997 Aerokit but, the one I got for my former 996 C4S, directly from the dealer, was not painted and needed prep work too. It was an extra cost for sure. You can find out by asking your dealer.

I bought one for my club coupe. It was OEM amd was around $4500. All the parts are included but it needs to be painted and installed. That cost me another $800-$1000.
If you are interested I have one complete from Porsche I bought for my 2009 and found it wouldn't work.

Clubrcr,
Thanks for the info. I had a feeling that it wasn't going to be straight forward. I am searching for a 07 C2/4S right now, so I guess I shouldn't buy the wagon before the horse LOL... (or is it the other way around )

Figure around $5,000 for the kit plus another $1,500 - $2,500 for prep, paint, and install (for the better body shops in Portland).
If you're not totally set on Porsche OEM, lots of other options. My car has the following and I love the look:
Front Bumper: Porsche OEM GT3
Rear Bumper: Rinspeed Indy
Side Skirts: TechArt
To the OP, not to change the subject but we have a Cars and Coffee get together on Saturday's down at Bridgeport Village in Tualatin. Most guys start to show up between 8:30 - 9:00am. More Ferrari and Lamborghini's but a few Porsche's show up. One or two GT3's with full aero kits for you to look at if they show up.

Thanks for all tips. Oh I guess you don't go through the Porsche dealership then to get that work done...
Joe - where does everyone congregate at Bridgeport? At Peet's? I'm going to be in Lake Oswego for my kids' black belt class - maybe I'll pop over to check out the scene...

Car's park out in the parking lot in front of the Mario's. Guys/gals either head for Paradise Bakery or Peet's for coffee.

We must be getting hosed here in Canada. I'm not sure of the exact cost because my car came with the OEM aero option (996, not 997) but heard that it was in the neighbourhood of 14K CDN when specing out the car. Anyone know if this is true?

Joe, I stopped by around 9:45 yest but I didnt see anyone in front of Marios...maybe I was in wrong area...but as i was leaving saw some nicer cars leaving too so perhaps everyone thought nobody showed up...
BTW, Ive never seen a close up of the side and back end of your car before ...your car looks quite sharp and flawless...we will have to hook up one day so I can check out your lowered car but from the pics, the drop looks perfect.

Yes, car is lowered with TechArt springs. The drop is 15mm (15mm on cars with PASM, 25mm on cars without PASM).
Looks like your car is lowered as well. Your car was one of the blueprints for the some of the mod's I made to my car (side skirts and front grill) so thanks

Thanks for the comments on my car. Hope you make up your mind on either springs or coils. Look forward to meeting up in person soon.
