wow impressive! so 2K includes the unit, pioneer amp and labor?

I have bose and FM ipod on mine , so with your unit the ipod will still hide on the center console right?

I could have had them put it in the center console, but why? My 120 gig iPod is in the glove box. I have no need to see it, touch it, etc...

The Euromotorspeed bezel and Bose wiring harness were extra. They can be found on ebay.

$1200.00 for the head unit. $100.00 for the XM, about $100.00 in cords and spare parts (iPod cord included), CA sale tax and labor.

There is NO Pioneer amp. All the power is coming from the head unit (the subs are being powered by the stock Bose sub amp). Its plenty loud!

I'm just curious why you say its adventurous? This has been done many, many times and much more elaborate than mine. My job was really simple.

It did take about 6 hours to do.

The shop had a 997.2 that had the PCM 3.0, but everything else was completely custom. Amps, speakers, subs, etc...They said it was $17,000.00 worth of parts and labor. Thats adventurous!

Its included with the EuroMotorSpeed bezel. There is a link earlier in this thread to the auction. Not sure if he sells it separately.

Buy from Loi, he's a great guy to do business with and his products rock!

Nice work I'd say, and great to see that a relatively simple upgrade can refresh the car.

Good for you!
It is me being a lousy photographer (taken with my iPhone). I have many people sit in my car and all are very impressed by how "stock" it looks.

Looks great. I assume the connection with the display under the tach is no longer functional, correct? A small price to pay for the extra capabilities, superior sound, touch screen and all. Congrats! When you look at $1k to simply add Bluetooth to the PCM, this seems like a bargain. And the whole thing can be upgraded as new generations of double-din systems come out.

You are NOT correct, it works fine. I still have all the trip computer functions, just not the middle radio line. I changed that line anyway to show miles to empty all the time.

You can probably get a grand for your old PCM head unit on Ebay...significantly dropping your overall cost!

You're likely right, since they are $2400 from Porsche dealer. If mine ever craps out, I'll probably go with the OP's solution here. Thanks for sharing.

Very clean-

Now w/ this & a LED taillight conversion on a 997.1 who needs a $150k 2010 TT!

Any idea if a MF steering wheel would still work?

Not a clue about the mf wheel. But, in all honesty, the interior of the car is so small that it's not a very far reach to the controls and touchscreen. A mf wheel would be a waste...
