Plenty of room there for deals if you ask me!
11K from what? MSRP? Car is already at $76,350, with reserve NOT met.

yeah i know the owner of Expo personally, I have bought/sold 4-5 cars with them over the last 3 years. They are actually honest which is why I stuck with them.

i think he means on a new one - a 997S with a 86 sticker has an invoice of about 74.7. Dealers can make deals if they want or need to but most are trying to keep the price up. As long as a couple ppl are paying sticker, no need to reduce the price until the supply builds up. If there are a couple cars are sitting on the lot, the dealer is probably still not worried, cuz once spring comes they would prob be able to get sticker for them.

This is a puzzling listing. I have no doubt it is for real but who is making money on this deal? Certainly the seller is yet what did they get the car for?$70,000 if that?

The first buyer must have paid over $90,000 with taxes and drove it less than 400 miles? I know people take a bath when buying new Porsches but this is ridiculous.
wholesale for used ones right now is at mid-70s. I believe thats what the seller got from Momentum.

I put a deposit back in April 2001. I am looking to get this after almost 4 1/2 years of wait. The wait is killing me....

Finally, while it has some nice features, the car is not optioned with either the Sports Chrono or the NAV, which are two of the "best" options IMO, although this is clearly subjective.
The crono and navi. are a nice options to have.
I agree that Sports Chrono is a no brainer.

It was my understanding that the nav unit could be added to the car at any time if it was not so equipped from factory. At least this is what I was told during my test drive (dealer said it was a unit to be plugged into the trunk). Is this true?

that's how it should be. I know for MB e-class you can add it anytime for only 1200$. now that's a nice deal. :-)

Peter,

You think your friends at Expo could located me a nice 02 or 03 911 if I can't cough up enough for the 997 for time being?

The 6 changer CD and Nav unit are plug and play, the wiring harness is in the trunk.

The dealer told me it was $4k if I decided to wait, but $2k if I ordered it with the car. Seems like they really want to make some margin!

That sounds like dealer talk, I don't think it's that much, but I'll check the after sale price.

Is it me, or is there a dent on the front right side of the car?

That would be great, thanks! With dealers not willing to "deal" my initial funds for options will be limited. It is going to be a stretch getting into an "S" as it is. Being "car-poor" scares me, but we only live once right? Like I told my wife, we can still make the mortgage payments so dont stress

Awesome - thanks. I can probably wait for Nav then....I am so happy Porsche made it a plug-and-play upgrade compared to what others are doing
