jpw2b is infamous around these parts
I have definitley seen overheating during HPDE, with oil up to 275 and water near red light range.
See thread: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ring-hpde.html

I am hoping to also find out if there is a retrofit planned for MY 2009/10 cars.

997.1's dont have a center radiator standard. Tiptronics have a centre transmission radiator, manuals have a "blank' in the front bar. the 3rd radiator kit can be installed afterwards or come as part of the X51 power pack. As "verde" says, it's not a difficult DIY. I got mine from Suncoast...

I track my 997.2S here in Dubai/Abudhabi and the only issue(if you want to call it an issue) is the slight increase in oil temperature.

That's what I hear from people tracking their PDK cars, such as savyboy. I suspect others experiencing abnormally high temps have other problems.

I wonder why the PDK - is that from driving in Auto/S+??? Even just for several miles around town, if I drive in Auto/S+, the car gets considerably hotter than otherwise - holding the engine to near redline all the time - seems extreme.

Heat seems to be an issue primarily w tracked PDK cars.
