FI Flyer is infamous around these parts
Just to be clear, I take it that the stuff you in the picture is not FROM the car but, rather, rust and crud that dripped ONTO the car from above. In other words, the problem is getting it off the paint. Is that right?

A good and expensive detail shop should be able to get that off/out of the paint.

Its amazing what a good detalier can do to fix car paint. Cross your fingers and look around for a good detailer that can get her back to new! Best of luck

Dont worry its not the end of the world and i know how it feels like when your brand new car runs into bad luck...

WTF is that stuff. Looks like the bottom of my oven after I cooked a casserole that overflowed.

I would use water first to get it off.....lots and lots of water from the hose without rubbing.

thanks for the sugestions, all! Since I did end up buying that Simoniz package (I've read how ineffective it really is), I brought it to the dealership since it includes a 5-year GUARANTEE to fix anything that affects the paint. They took the car yesterday and will work on it this week. I assume Simoniz really isn't effective, but the package more acts like an insurance on cases like this... Pictures and story when car is returned. Fingers crossed.. Thanks for the support.

Details and more pics in the following thread:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ml#post2771422

basically i have an assigned parking spot at my apt garage in downtown boston. While I was away for the week, Boston was hit hard with downpour. There is a rusted pipe above the car where water probably ended up dripping to the hood. There's also some whole in the cement (next to the pipe) that leads to who the heck knows. I saw some rust like drips come down from that pipe. I'm going to complain to the manager and see what can be done.
