997 Maximizing Performance
I am a C4S Newbie, the last couple of years I have been riding around in an E63. My wife has inherited my old ride. I am enjoying the transition and love the feel of the car, although I do miss the off the line power of the E63.
Can anyone offer some advice on how I can maximize the performance out of the engine by suggesting the optimal rpms at each shift from 1 to 6?

Is your car brand new? If so you'll want to hold off going above 4200 for the first 2000 miles. This is according to the manual. I'll admit this is hard as heck to do and I've gotten well into the low 6000's myself a few times, especially going from 2nd to 3rd. It's addictive.
