Maximum you'd pay if Carrera S had wide body option?

The 993 did this in 1998 . It was the last year of the 993 and only one version was sold . It was a two wheel drive using the widebody using up all the remaining parts before launching the 996 as a model year 1999 car.
BTW -I like the narrow body 997S . I feel it has this basic understated appearance .

I'm happy with my narrow body... I wouldn't pay over $2k for a wider butt.
Unless you put an RS wing on a narrow body, it is not necessary to have a wider butt cosmetically. I think the RS wing looks too wide for a narrow body.
I would rather have a wider front and rear like the new RS. Now that, I would pay for...

I guess given that it is such a small amount, I'd have to be convinced by looking side by side that it was worth anything extra. I'd probably spend the money on an exhaust or wheels or something else.

Thanks everyone for your perspectives and personal preferences. Was really curious what everyone thought. Similar to others, I added the wheel spacers 7mm front 15mm rear. I have the 295 rears so may not be as wide looking as others with 305s. Having the Sport PASM package lowers the car about 20mm, so that with the spacers gives the car a nice aggressive stance without the wider rear end as C4(S).
Cheers!

Honestly, I wouldn't pay for a wider body at the rear. The design now is "purpose driven" to the performance of the car. Why widen out the rear? To fit even wider rear wheels and tires? But then you need to do the same up front else unbalance the car even further.
It's amazing what Porsche (and other) marketing will get people to pay for...

If you drop the car, and put spacers on, this gives the illusion of a wide body. I parked mine with these mods next to a 997 tt and it was difficult to tell the difference in narrow vs. wide. So I'd pay $0 to make it a wide body, but would pay for the increased performance and look of the dropped car plus spacers. My prior Turbo I dropped and put spacers on anyways, so the net to get this "look" is $0.

I realize this may seem too straight forward: the wide body is directly engineering, it's a Porsche not a Lexus. The width allows my c4 to have 305 19" tires for additional traction. Sure it looks great but most c2 owners are not into the benefits of the awd. An the c4 is still fast, not as quick as a 4s but exciting.
