On the fronts, however, it puts the wheels 12mm wider on the outside which I fear may cause some rubbing.

Thoughts? Anyone tried a 12mm spacer with 235 tires up front?
8.5 and 11 are not offset numbers. Those are the wheel width in inches.
Stock sizes are 8.5/11.5.

I have yet to see offset numbers for the porsche fitment CH-Rs, I also have a set on order. The offsets on my stock wheels are 57mm/67mm.

I didn't say that 8.5 and 11 are offset numbers, just stating the width. Stock Carrera S wheels (2006 Lobster Claws) are 8" front, 11" rear.

The offset numbers are available from FVD's website (see here: http://www.fvd.de/us/en/Porsche-0/-/...archValue=ch-r) which are 56mm and 51mm respectively, for 11x19 and 8.5x19.

Ah, I stand correct...

Tire rack site indicates the fronts will fit - would be nice to get some first hand knowledge though.

I've also read the Porsche fitment wheels will NOT have "motorsport" written on them like the BMW ones.

I think this is a pretty reliable source:

I'm sure there are others on this board who have taken actual measurements as well.

According to the BBS website, these wheels will be in stock for general availability starting April 30th (www.bbs-usa.com). The application guide also gives all the specs/prices on their website (go to News >> Application Guide).

Can't wait to see the first pics on a 997!

The 8.5" 51 offset should fit fine. My rims are 8.5" and 53 and the 2 mm won't be noticeable.

Loved the CH-R just wish they were lighter.

That sample image of the CH-R's on the M3 is pretty sweet! It looks like those are 20s though, and unfortunately they are only offering them in the Porsche sizing in 19". From what I hear, BBS is pretty conservative when it comes to plus-sizing from the OEM dimensions.

I'm sure they'll look great in 19" but wouldn't it be cool to see a 20" set for the 997? Perhaps if these sell well, they'll do what HRE did with the P40 for the Panamera and start offering them in larger diameters.

They have plans for 19" only in this time.

So big_willy, what's the verdict? Do you have your rims on yet? Anyone else received these wheels and have some pics of them on their 997?

They will be at the shop by Friday at the lastest - I'll be out of town on business this week so will likely have them mounted next week.

Will post some pics when they're on.
