Any good recommendations for SF Bay Area?

 

Highly recommend Soundwave in San Carlos.

Definitely avoid Pacific Stereo in Redwood City at all costs...

 

Hello Dave have you used these guys? And have they done for you if you don't mind me asking. Looking into an the head unit upgrade.

 

Sound Innovations in Hayward. Awesome bunch of guys. I have only had them do headrest monitors in my cayenne, but I plan to have them install a headunit into the 997 some day.

These guys did work on my Jaguar XJR and Audi A6 and did a fantastic job on both. I plan to have them do a headunit swap in my 997 also. Great guys who are honest and do good work IMO.

Soundwave did head unit, speakers, sub, two amps, and overhead video installation on my Evo back in '07. Also did similar job on an Accord two years prior to that. Have referred a couple of people to them, and they were also satisfied.

Not sure if they up to speed on Porsche systems, as I haven't upgraded any of my p-car's stereos...I'm sure they will be up front with you about whether they can do it or not.

If your question was regarding Pacific, they pulled a bait and switch on a new JL Audio amp I bought from them, as I found out later it was refurbished when I had to call JL customer service. They also charged me for a part and never delivered it, and then disputed the fact that I had prepaid.
