Car transporter

I'm looking for an competitive unenclosed carrier to ship a couple of cars of moderate value. I prefer to not go through a broker. Any ideas?

Intercity is a forum sponsor and offers some discounts for 6 speed members. I haven't used them, but the thread seems to have a lot of comments.

Thanks.

I've read about Dave Wilson's excellent service, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him, particularly as a Board sponsor, for the shipment of a valuable car. In this case, however, I need something simple and inexpensive.

Perhaps Dave can refer you to some one that is less expensive.

I use brokers all the time with no issues. They have screened and weeded out the bad ones and brokers were the only way to get it done QUICK. I use Ready Auto Transit based in Phoenix. Just an option....

Transport recommendation

Two weeks ago I used High End Transport and was very satisfied. I elected to save a few bucks and have the car shipped uncovered and it showed up clean and without a scratch. The owner--Ernie Diaz--was recommended to me by a friend of mine who works for BMW of Fairfax and they've used High End Transport many times. The website is gohet.com. Good luck.

If you want cheap (and I believe reliable) try
http://frankstransport.com/

Last year they moved a car from Sarasota to Northern Indiana for $450 and I have a friend who is shipping one with them next week from Stuart Fl. to Wisconsin for $550.
