Enjoy Don't worry too much about the deal now, its no longer relevant. I got what I thought at the time was a good deal on an 06 C2S with 20k on the clock, well optioned but without the full leather. I paid $68k for it, CPO'd and 2 years on, I now realize that I overpaid by quite some margin!!

Does it bother me though? No not really, I've spent so much time enjoying the car its been worth every $ to me. Now if I'd financed perhaps I'd of been upset, but seeing as it was cash, I take the philosophy 'out of sight out of mind' and just enjoy. You can always earn more money....

Haha this is true....Ill def spread the word to sympathize. The nicest car I ever pulled over was an R8...It would of been a crime to give him a speeding ticket because it sounded so good coming down the road. lol

I like the car you are getting more and I'll tell you why .Comments and questions .

1) I have noticed a trememdous amount of 997S cars popping up at both Lexus and Mercury dealerships used cars . I find it odd because those cars obviously are not trade in cars since most Porsche owners have no interest in Lexus or Mercury. That leads me to guess that they were bought at auction with one goal in mind .. fast profit. In some cases the advertisements even list the options improperly as if they don't even know (or care) about the car they are selling. And yes .. the price always looks good.

2) Miami recently had a huge flash flood three months ago .. just something to note . A lot of cars faced water damage. It would not appear on carfax.

3) Some members may have more to say on Carfax but I have read some posts on 6speed where members have not been pleased with the accuracy . Of course Carfax is an added tool in a car search but it is just one of many inspections worth doing.

4) Did you test the DME for engine over revs on this new car ? it may be good to know. Is the car a CPO ?

5) I recall reading about a dealership in Ohio that is a family owned top notch place. I hope this is it. I think forum member jjs4cab may have bought his car in Ohio. It may be worth asking him.

6) Price is in line with an 05 with 25K miles .

7) Enjoy the car . Silver BTW is the best color with cleaning . I had one and even when it was dirty it looked clean .

Congats on your new car. I am new to the site and a new '05 CS owner myself. I was also really nervous about "the deal." I agonized over two different used 05's at the dealership. But I couldn't be happier now with my choice and the price.

I'm just too paranoid to drive it until I get the clear bra installed.
