New Car Purschase

Hey guys, Just wanted some feedback on how I did with the purchase. I am a newbie to this site. I am picking up this weekend an 2005 C2s with 25k miles. It has the basic leather, no chrono package or stitching on the dashboard but appears to have a few of the other basic options. The car is a 2 owner car with a clean car fax. No issues, dents , scratches nothing. I even called the porsche dealership where it was serviced in Ohio and was told the owner was obsessed with keeping the car immaculate. I am paying 46k and talked them down from 49. Did I get a good deal or could I do better?I def want the car but Im also nervous by buying this one, something better will come along in a few weeks and I will regret my purchase. Any feed back greatly appreciated.
Ryan.
Heres a pic of the car .

I'd say it's a solid buy - I bought my 2005 997C2S with 25k miles for $50k. Given this was about 14 months ago and the car was a launch edition (fully loaded), your price seems about right! Car looks great, but if you're not so sure, I'd ask how long have you been looking? If not very long, you may want to wait and see what else comes along. But if you've been doing your research and this one seems like a good fit, go for it!

The other solution is to stop looking at for sale ads online after you buy it - then you'll for sure never regret it!

JTaylorGT - Ive been looking quite a few months now. Everything I find has over 30k miles and I def didnt want a car with more then 25k . I found an amazing deal in Miami , It was an 05 C2S with 18k miles. It was lowered, had rims, smoked tail lights and terracata interior. Also had a clean car fax...I put a deposit on it and they sold it off the lot the same day and refunded my deposit and didnt give a crap that I was flying down the next day to buy it. They wanted 42k which was an amazing deal . I posted pics of it at the bottom.
Crazycarlitos and PDdiddy - THANKS ALOT.
This is the car that I wanted so bad and they sold it from under me.

the one that got away

those rims are sick, but other than that this car isn't anything you can't easily replicate

Talking

I use to think about my purchases all the time after I drove off the lot... did I get a good price? is there anything better out there? should I have waited longer? did the dealer steal my money/make too much off me?

And after buying many many cars in my lifetime, I've learned not to back track and stop questioning the decisions I've made. Dealerships are in the business of making a $$, they're not a non-profit business, so I've stopped chasing what the "invoice" price really is.

There will always be a better deal out there. You will always be plus or down $1-$5k on your deal, there really isn't a "perfect" price for anything. But thats just me, some ppl get giddy and thrive off getting a bargain. I know a lot of people that live for negoitating and the art of a good deal. For me, as long as I can save a bit, throw the dealership some cash, and drive something FAST & LOUD, thats good enough for me.

Enjoy your car.

Welcome aboard and enjoy your car! It's a great thing to have a LEO in the Porsche ranks. Spread the word about this car among your peers. I noticed that LEOs respect Vettes but not so much Porsches. There are LEOs who own Porsches and I say the more the better.
