can anyone tell me whats behind this?

i believe this is where the third radiator would go.

i want to cut a hole (maybe 3) there.. ala cattman

just wanna make sure its feasible.

Dude you don't need to cut a hole there. That black piece comes right off... If you're going to install a 3rd radiator, you will have to take off the bumper, you will replace that cover piece with an air duct.

i was going to cut a hole for me to put a escort 9500ci radar detector receiver..

but since the black piece comes off, everything should be simpler.. thx sin911!

but now i might just put in the 3rd radiator at this time... u know, get ready for the TPC kit

You're absolutely welcome, I think you can cut it without any problems. Might be easier to install if you remove the bumper

 

the bumper will def be coming off..

i am not even doing the cutting.. i am no cattman

i just need to able to instruct the installers properly on what i want and where i want it.

the radar receiver was larger than i initially thought.. and will not fit clean unless i can cut that area (or remove it)

so i wanted to see what was feasible.
