Newbie to this forum and need some feedback....

I do not have a Porsche yet! I would love to own one and am considering this C2 with AeroKit.

I know it is not a GT3 but the real thing is out of my reach.

Comments from this illustrious crowd appreciated.

Thanks

Good point, they have a sweet S Black Black with black rims....but the yellow is a looker. I am also caught between two stools regarding stick or PDK... I can't decide if I am in need of new technology or need to be .... classic / old fashioned. I would take the stick in the yellow car because of it's eye appeal but would probably want PDK. Thoughts on this?

love pdk..its amazing..will never give it up..but to be honest - i would like to drive a 6 speed maybe once or twice a month.

make sure you test drive both..but seriously - if you are considering a $100k porsche - get the S....you can always add an aero kit or pse or whatever later..GET an S...pdk vs 6 speed is much more of a personal decision. both are great...if i didnt want pdk i would have bought a 2007 or 2008 turbo.

Wow --love the yellow dials . It's not a cheap car though with all those options . One of the forum members bought a car there and was very happy .

But you did mention the Gt3 and you are not that far off in price from this one on this side of the map. http://champion.porschedealer.com/20...79618/info.php

I like the black car too and would select it over the base 997 BUt not below a used Gt3 -taking into consideration yellow. manual. aerokit .. was your first choice.

They are both listed as 6 speed manual. I would go with the black one but, then again, I am biased.

I love the yellow, I like bright colors for a car, especially a sports car like that. Definitely don't like black in any case though (too much to take care of, IMO)

For 100k, though, you could be getting into a lot more car.

The PDK is the real deal . I bought mine on a whim and I probably wouild not have taken the chance at the time if I didn't already have a Turbo in manual . However --now -- I wish my Turbo was PDK. It's that good.

Just make sure you get the sport chrono if you get PDK . It's very important.

Either way you go, you'll be pleased. Take your time and price shop, there are good deals out there to be found if yuo're patient. I love my 6-speed stick but several test drives of the new PDK left me quite amazed. As yrralis1 said it is "the real deal". The right pcar will speak to you, you'll just know it when you drive it. Be sure to post pics after you buy, and welcome to the 6!
