Sorry about that guy. I understand your pain. After 8 Porsches I only had two incidents like that. The first one was back in 1967 with my 1963 356B. It was a wet day in Columbus Ga. and we were traveling down the main street in town. This gal was at a stop sign and waited until we got to her corner and then pulled out. We did not have a stop sign. I hit her rear door at 20 MPH. She went ballistic (baby in the back seat, not hurt). The cop asked her why she pulled out in front of me and she said "I stopped at the stop sign then started up". The cop told her she had to wait until the traffic finished on the main road and then she could go. Then he asked her for her license. She didn't have one and she didn't have insurance. This poor broke Army lieutenant’s heart sank. Fortunately USAA took care of it and sued her. Eight years later I got my deductible back. The second one was ten years later (different, brand new Porsche) also female and about as intelligent. A doe came out of the woods and ran into the side of the car. She paid more dearly than I did for that one.

Taipei cab drivers
I had similar run ins with Taipei taxi drivers in the past few months as well. My porsche also got rubbed up as these yellow cabs make sudden lane changes. The taipei 101 (Vieshow) area where you got hit is usually busy on the weekend with pedestrians and traffic congestions. Taxi drivers make sudden lane changes to cut off pedestrians and fellow drivers to pick up customers waving on the side walk.
Glad you didn't get hurt in this fender bender and are still in good spirit to post your incident on 6speed.
Nice meeting a fellow 6speedonline member in taipei.
