this thread was also started 4yrs ago, TPC has smoothed out all of the issue from the past. On another forum their are alot of caymans running the same tpc kit but cayman specific with great results.

I have an 05 997S with a Tiptronic Tranny. I believe TPC makes the Turbo Conv Kit for it. My concern is if the 05 issues are resolved. I currently have 58,000 miles on it. Is that risky?
I know they have been installing them successfully on the Caymans, but I would say that's a different category.
How would I know if I have the older version ECU? I don't want to have the same problems that the OP had.
I don't believe anyone has commented on the cost to install the kit either by TPC or their own mechanic.

Just call Tom Chan at TPC, he can tell you if the 05 is still a problem with the ecu.

This thread goes back to one of our first turbo kits, and the problems have been resolved.

I think the shops labor to install is 2-3k. There was no one recommended by TPC within 2 hrs of me so I just did mine. I've put about 500 miles on since the install and am very happy with it.

TPC,
Any recommended shops in the New Orleans area?
