That sucks.........If I purchased several cars from the same dealership I would have developed a relationship with the manager by now. Not does it help in these types of situations but it would help with service issues.......but thats just me.

you will not get names....the original post did name the dealership and in my opinion defamed the dealership for the doings of one employee that the op could not name...if he had known who the salesman was and wanted to say avoid this salesman at such and such dealer it might have been ok but to pan an entire dealership on a public forum because of the actions of one employee is not fair at all and won't be permitted here

Larry I agree in that my new car buying experience has been completely different at the same dealership. I am treated like royalty at the same dealerships new car dept but the used car guys must be the 2nd rate salesmen who lack the interpersonal skills to be allowed to sell new cars in the nice showroom. To add insult to injury as I was leaving I saw another client returning from a test drive in an R8 as I was leaving so clearly it was something personal.

WTF, i've never heard of that before... lets talk price before test driving? **** dat. That truly a horrible experience. I've rolled up to many dealerships and most of them let me test drive by myself. I've been lucky I guess.

Anytime you can;t drive a vehicle before you buy it, I'm walking. When I have bought without driving because I didn't care to do so(I wanted it bad), I sure regretted it. I kjnow some great new and used car guys but there are many who do not knwo what it takes to build a long term repeat clientele. Vote with your voice as you did and your feet!

No wonder he works in the used cars dept!
Sorry to hear about it, some sales people are real jerks... Sometimes it makes more sense to buy a new car instead of a used one with what the dealerships are asking

Tromero --
Since you had not named the dealership and since both local ones have Turbo and gt3 cars -I had no idea which.
My comments are moreso on the difference in the entire buying experience of the new cars dept . I have felt this way at all used car lots. It's like flying coach instead of first class .. same airplane .. different customer experience.
I specd a gt3 the other day at 130K or so . Why not get the new car ?
A new turbo will cost more . I'd be glad to show you mine though.
It's getting ipod and bluetooth now and ought to be done sometime this week.
I don't know why the saleman didn't let you drive a used car .. that makes no sense and does sound more like his issue . BUT --yanno what --when a person is hired that person is a reflection of that business and even if it's only one employee --it's not acceptable . I feel this way about all businesses and lately one can observe a lot of people who seem like they don't take pride in their work .
