I have problem to pair Iphone 4 to PCM 3.0 in my Cayenne. Going through the interactive steps, the PCM responded with "Registration successful" whilst on the Iphone; after entering the passkey, it responded with "connection unsuccessful" Any help and advise appreciated

Yes, the phone book works great with the CT...I'm getting ready to head out in the C2S and will get back to you later on this one.

UPDATE: phone book/contacts works in the 2010 C2S as well.

Really? My EVO pairs but the phone book does not show up until I do a search using " Find a name", then the names show up, but if I get away from that screen and goes back, same thing happens again. Maybe I need a PCM software update? Mine is a very early MY 2010 build.

I have an HTC Incredible and have never been able to load the phone book!

I will check both the phone and PCM and post their version numbers.

I have a MY 2009.

I paired my Droid X with my 09 S. At first I would randomly lose my phonebook. Took in for service and they uploaded the latest software. It was better but still would lose the phonebook but with a longer interval between the loss. After my last update from Verizon the problem seems to have gone away. Four weeks without an issue.

To get the phone synced up over bluetooth, its a two-party arrangement. The car's PCM phone module w/ bluetooth interface needs to get and hold the phonebook, but your phone also needs to abide by the hands free profile and phone book transfer specs to transmit that data to the car (after pairing) and then not clobber it with nonsense broadcasts.

So when something like that doesn't work quite right, remember that it is a 'pair' - the car, your phone, or both could be acting oddly.

From your description, it sounds like the phone contributed to the problem.

I have a Samsung Epic and it pairs but has the same phone book issue as others. The phone book shows up when you put in someones name but go from the peg and it disappears again. Maybe I need the update. Anybody know if they charge for the update.

You really should e able to get the update from a website to the porsche portable hardrive and enter it yourself. What a good idea...just like any other software.....are you listening Porsche?
