Bluetooth Phones and 997.2 PCM 3.0
#46
For the android folks that are having problems transferring their phonebook.
I had the same problem with my Samsung galaxy and this is what i did.
I transferred all the contacts to my sim card and on the PCM, make sure only the SIM is selected (it doesn't work if sim and phone are selected)
then select transfer phonebook.
you should have all you contacts there.

that's right, you DO NOT insert the sim card into the PCM unit....on the options under phonebook, you can select where to transfer from

iPhone 4S works fine in my '09 997.2. I also plug the iPod adapter into the phone (I have an extension cable for it) so I can control music playback via PCM. I only have about 800 contacts but they all download fine. Had several 1000 and had to prune it back as it was causing sync issues on my BMW.
I currently have a 2009 997.2 C4S with the PCM 3.0 and the Bluetooth Module and it works very nicely hands-free in the car with my Bluetooth capable cellphone, a Motorola RAZR2 V9. I am looking to get a newer smartphone (either an iPhone4, an HTC Incredible, or a couple other Samsung models) but I don't want to get it until I can be assured it it will pair up and work with the PCM 3.0 in my car.
