Saleen Mustang

Anyone have experience with any of the Saleen products? I'm looking at a 2007 Saleen-Parnelli Jones Boss 302 with very low miles.
Specifically, are they fun to drive, set up well for a few DE's, and how is the warranty handled (through Ford, or through Saleen-which could be difficult, due to the fact that Saleen has changed hands?)

This would be a great question to the seller. He ought to put you in touch with whoever does the work on his car currently . This way you have some reassurance that someone knows the repair specifics of that car .

The Parnelli Jones Boss 302 is a punched out 4.6L 3V that makes 400hp. The suspension has a watts link rearend that from my understanding isn't really sorted out as good as it can be. To be honest I would pass and just get a regular 2011 Mustang GT with the new 4v 412hp 5.0L V8. Not do you get a better powerplant but you also get the much improved interior of the 2010 Mustang along with a sticker price that I am sure is quite a bit less. Unless you are into the fact that you have to have a Saleen (which to me never meant anything and I am a huge Mustang fan) but if you are just looking for a fun to drive car that isn't expensive you can't go wrong with the 2011 Mustang GT with Brembo package.
