Damptronics and "grinding sound"
Hi
I've had my damptronics on for about 3 months now and I've noticed that when I pull into a driveway while slowing down, I hear a "grinding" noise which sounds very similar to what ABS sounds like when it is engaging. I took it back to the installer as well as the dealer and they did confirm that it was the ABS engaging. They claimed that the ABS on the Porsche is very sensitive and so any changes to the suspension will cause it to be even more sensitive.
I have a friend who has the same car (C4S with damptronics and he has never noticed this). Does anyone else have this problem???

it has nothing to do with the rotors. I had a boxster as a loaner when I took it to the dealer and it was barely noticeable but it was there. basically when I turn into a parking lot, I drive in at a shallow angle so as to not scrape the front chin, when the first front when hits the driveway, I hear the "grinding" sound. I'm sure the car is off balance because on a right turn, that means the RF wheel is already elevated on the driveway and probably the RR tire has decreased contact as well.....

Are you sure it's not more of a creaking / groaning sound? It could be noise from body flex or the sunroof. Now that the car is lower and has a stiffer suspension you may have more noise from the car just due to the stress from the suspension, especially when going up an incline at an angle.
Try cracking the sunroof slightly and see if the noise is gone when you incline up a driveway.

i have plenty of additional creaks, groans and noises like springs are popping off too.
guess it's the way I enter driveways or SoCal driveways... 'cuz I noticed it to a small degree with the boxster and have it much more with my c4S
