I dont see it!

Hi everyone,

First i would like to say.. i searched!

I have a 05' C2S and i see the comment on the C4's being "widebody" I have looked at a million pictures of the C4's but I haven't sen one in person. Where exactly is it wider? in the photos it looks the same but is it just proportioned correctly so you can't tell unless you see it in person?

I love my C2S! just trying to figure out the cosmetic differences of the "widebody"

Thanks!

Carter

The rear fenders on a C4, C4S, Targa4, Targa4S, Turbo, GT3RS, and GT2 are all wide bodies, which is about 1.5 inches wider then the narrow body.

I agree that it is very difficult to see, even side by side.

Oh ok that makes sense! the difference is not as obvious as the older 911's. I often think if i would want a c4s but i think i would miss being able to blow the *** end out at will.

Thanks!

Just like with the 993s, the 997 widebodies have black painted areas on the section of the side of the car ( between the wheels) transitioning to the underside.

I wish they didn't. How many people actually get the skirts all dinged up from gravel anyway? And since I didn't order my car, I couldn't get the painted side skirts to match.

GothamHistorian is infamous around these parts
After a few years of owning and studying the lines on my 997, when I see a C4/C4S, I can immediately appreciate a wider back end (and man it looks nice!). It's harder on the Turbos to appreciate because the wing distracts the eyes from the fender lines. I think the 997 "narrow" fenders are such a nice improvement over the narrow fenders of the 996.
