PSE Hack - DME overide

I love the noise of the PSE [disabled].....but removing the plug to achieve constant open mode doesn't let me quieten it down when the police are close....

I have searched the forum, and seen that several people have wired the switch to achieve this.

Is there a DIY page I have missed with the search function ???

pic of my 997S purely to add visual interest to thread

To be honest it is a facoty option, and because of this you cannot get a ticket for it...if that is your concern and reason for the post.

You may not get a ticket in the US. We do here in Aus.
"Undue noise due to manner of operation"

...but the reason for the post was to find about how to DIY the switch.....

That sounds more like a noise ordinance than a general "your car is to loug" ticket. As for the DIY I am of no help

I assume you had the PSE installed after you got the car? I have read of people installing a switch. I will look around.

I have installed this perfect solution:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1V9lW1CW-4

It's a very easy DIY. Just plug and Play.

It sets the PSE On and Off when you want. No connection to the sportsbutton anymore! It also rembers your last setting.

get it at www.carnewal.com and look for:

P97 PSE Manual Control

I have this on my car and absolutely love it. The only downside is that I'm still not able to program my homelink to act as the remote but we're working on that.
