What is your other car?

My other car used to be an 08 Lexus LS460 but it sucked the life out of me every time I drove it. That car did absoutely nothing for me. Had it for 10 months and traded into an Escalade ESV. Soulless as well but at least the exhaust note reminds me I'm alive.

I have no children and have an M3 as well as a Honda civic si .
In your circumstance with small kids and a possible future child I think an SUV allows the safety as well as the convenience of placing a child in a car seat without having to bend over - spares the lower back .
I also feel that with small children that any vehicle ought to be short term buy or lease.
My vote would go to the X5 BMW.
Free maintentance, BMW short term lease, no third row .. but you also don't have the third child yet either .

I drive either a Cayenne S or 09 Mini Cooper S.
I want to sell my Cooper S and get either a BMW X3 or 3 series....looking at other cars but I always lean to some sort of smaller SUV.
I might even look at a new GMC Terain...32mpg small SUV...hummm interesting.

My wife drives an 06 Volvo XC90 that we picked up for $9k U.S. due to desperate car selling market in Dubai. Steal of a deal I'll tell you!
I drive an 04 Holden Commodore V8 4-door family car with the old Corvette LS-1 I believe. Its basically the Australian V8 Supercar you see flying around tracks in Australia. Smooth, fast, and cheap cheap to maintain. I'm currently putting on 330 miles every two days driving back and forth from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

We haul the family around in either the MB R500 (which is up for sale) or my wife's Lexus RX350. The R is a great family car with a real third row. Two adults can fit nicely in the 3rd row. My daily is a Cooper S and it's been a blast to drive compared to my previous dailys....avalon,prius and frontier truck.

Wife drives an X5 3.0 and I have a Range Rover Sport S/C but thinking about dropping down to 2 cars given that I work from home and put few miles on the RRS. Anyone interested in an '08 RRS with 15xxx miles?
