Road Noise
#17
Now that you mention it, I wish the stock engine note had a little more testosterone. With the PSE off, I often hear more tire noise (even on smooth asphalt) than exhaust note. The tires are super noisy on these cars - especially on the newer 911's. 19's on the 'S' don't help. I often need to pull over and stop in order to have a normal conversation on my BT/iPhone.
The engine whine of 996/7's sound better to me as a sidewalk pedestrian, than as a driver. (don't get me wrong- i'd much rather always be driving, but I feel as if this is an area where Porsche could improve.)

quote=k6gix;2919540]Well i have been reading the latest GT Porsche Mag for the second leg of the 997.2 carrera s australia tour. There seems to be alot of complaint about road noise inside the cabin. Is this true? When I get my p-car im going on a US tour and would like to know.
Thanks, Richie[/quote]
