So, which engine type do I have?

I've been trying to keep up on other threads that reference the different types (Metzger, X51, 9A1, GT1, etc...) and I've STFA, looked briefly on Rennlist, even tried Wiki and haven't been able to determine two things with any certainty. One, which engine type/block does my 2009 Carrera with the 3.6l have and, two, what does that mean?

Thanks in advance guys.

My very limited 2 cents

The new motors from 09 on for the the base and S are the new DI motors. the X51 refers to the power kit, so unless you ordered it you don't have it. Its not the GT1 motor which I believe is the base in the turbos and GT3's.

I know I did not answer your question, but I hope it helped a little

That helps. The ol' process of elimination, I guess.

I definitely didn't order a powerkit, so no X51. It's not a TT or GT3 so I'm guessing this '09 engine is a 9A1 at this point? I'll keep searching and checking back here to see what others come up with.

Thanks for throwing in your $.02.
