Thanks for all the info posted previously. I posted my install steps. Everyone proceed at your own risk. I have no formal Porsche training. I just followed previously posted info.
My dealer quoted me over 1800 when i called back in early 2010. Did it myself for about half that. If you have the tools it didn't take over 20 minutes of actual labor.
Oh yeah new to this forum but have been lurking. Thanks for all the great info.

Sorry Mods if posted in wrong place. Can be moved to DIY thread.

See the little green box to the right.... basically its a "atta boy" kinda deal......although it can go the other way when you get some folks that have nothing to contribute and are just plain tools.

(Even the paddle wheel just looks better to start with)

+1. Agree with everyone here - especially because it closely relates to an earlier question that I had asked as well.

Very informative. Thanks for posting.

Very nice. This has made my decision on whether or not to do this much easier. Now the only hard part will be waiting for the kit to arrive once I order it.

This may seem odd but I'm thinking of putting the same wheel on my 06 C2S. Before you think I'm totally insane, I know I'll be changing to a PDK car in the next year or so anyway so I'll just bring it with me when I change. Mine's a manual so the paddles will be utterly useless but I just *love* the wheel design and feel.

Great job with the pics, thanks for that

That new wheel looks great. Thanks for the DIY, and congratulations on saving nearly $1,000!

Personal preference. Definitely a better looking wheel and I prefer the paddles. Porsche engineers may disagree. It just feels better.

Great job man! I've been debating on whether to change my steering wheel or not. Unfortunately, if I do change it to the ones you have, I will lose my heated steering wheel feature :-( Ryan at Suncoast did tell me a while back that the paddle shift steering wheel doesn't come with heating. Maybe, just maybe in the near future...they will come with it. One could only hope...
