Wheels help!

I'm about to place an order and I'm planning to pick up some aftermarket wheels for the new Guards Red C2S. The dealer has offered to buy back the stock wheels, so I need to have something ready when the car arrives. However, I'm having the worst @#$%^ time making a decision.

Below are some of the wheels on my "short list" - any strong recommendations for or against would be appreciated, especially if there is something about the wheel that I might not already know.

  • 360 Forged Concave Multi
  • 360 Forged Concave Mesh
  • HRE Monoblok P43
  • HRE Monoblok P40
  • Champion RG5 Monolite

The list of what I'm considering is a bit longer, but there are some like the Savini SM4 that I don't know a whole lot about yet.

HRE monoblok P43 and P40 are the most popular monoblok wheels that HRE sells, in that order. Both are great wheels and have many different finishing options.... Two of my faves. You probably already know that you will need to lower the car with coilovers for it to look good and drive well. Good luck!

I love my HRE P40s

Get them in the right offset and you won't need any spacers!

In full disclosure though, they require tons of patience to keep them clean... or turning a blind eye

Best tool I've found to help keep em clean is the EZ Detail brush which you can pick up here from board sponsor Moe / Glistening Perfection

Good luck in your decision

I'd also suggest the HRE monoblocks strong, lightweight forged wheels that don't have any of the issues a 3 piece wheel may have. Let me know if you need any more info and I'd be happy to help.

I'd stick with the HRE or Champion wheels.

Is your car lowered? I don't plan to lower mine - I didn't get the lowered PASM because I already have issues with the incline of my driveway.

gravedgr:

Here are a couple of pic's of my 997 before I lowered it with the Champion RG19's which are very similar to the RG5's. I'm running the 19x11.5's in the rear with a 62 offset. Just posting so you can compare for your liking.

I suggest a search of the 6speedonline forum for 360 Forged. A Google search also discloses threads in other forums that you might want to read.

I'm aware of the 360 Forged history. A lot stuff went down on MBWorld where I have lived the past 2 years. Thank you for the advice, though!

Tech 1 Forged

Check out Tech 1 Forged Alloys. Very nice product, good rep, and not quite so expensive...

I'm well aware that your company is a sponsor, thanks in no small part to the 213 separate threads you've started since June, 2009 (which coincidentally was the topic of another thread https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...t-control.html). However, I'm not sure that the "we must be a good company, because if we weren't somebody would have already shut us down" argument is the best way to convince people to buy your product. I think you have some great photography of your products, but my decisions about what to buy are based on the reviews or testimonials of my peers, when available.
