997 Narrowbody with Widebody Wheels - Yes They Fit!

We just outfitted this Porsche 997 GT3 with some HRE 843R wheels, in 20 inch! The best part, these are 20x9 and 20x12 widebody wheels and they fit this 997 GT3 narrowbody. The front wheels are always the same, the rear offset is the difference with the narrowbody Carrera and widebody Turbo. However these offsets are aggressive and give it a flush stance. These wheels came from our Clearance HRE Wheels Sale. The 20x9 and 20x12 are wrapped with 245/30/20 in the front and 305/25/20 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires in the rear. The 843R is a 3piece wheel and has been superceeded by HRE's 890 series. This is definitely a functional wheel for the street to add style, but if you want to be fast on the track, check out HRE Competition wheels. These are available in both 5x130 and centerlock fitment. The C93 like on our Project 997TT in 19x8.5 and 19x11 weigh only 19 and 20.5lbs respectively.

I thought everyone says wide body wheels will not fit a narrow body. If their difference is only the offset what is the difference between the wide body wheels and a 7mm kits?

Not all WB wheels, these do fit. WB offset on these HRE are about 35-40mm Stock GT3 offset is about 63mm. You can see by the picture these sit nice and flush! The good news is these are from our HRE Clearance section, click the link.

I have 1 set in satin charcoal. We can do them in gloss black or matte black for a small charge. Call me tomorrow to discuss.

Front offset looks good, rear looks to stick out just a tad. However 20's on a GT3 look out of place...this is a race car with blinkers, then you have the bling bling dub's.....sorry not for me on a sports car like a Porsche especially at GT3.

These are the standard 997TT offsets HRE uses. The front is the same from a narrowbody to widebody. The rear is about a 35mm.

I thought stock GT3 have rear fender already rolled from the factory. Is that why they fit into GT3? and stock 997 NB need rear fender roll?
