Leftover 2010 vs. Used 2009 Deals
#31
It was a used 09 noticed by a friend of mine on another site and the deal was done in a week. A Dallas dealer had some new 09's but I missed out on those. Not many 2010's available in the Dallas area so I guess I was lucky. Still have 35 months of warranty and 46000 miles left so I was very lucky to find this car and the previous owner was great to work with. I think there will be some coming off lease soon that may be great deals.

In researching the 2010 inventory, I'm seeing a lot of Aqua Blue and a lot of PDK cars. I've even come across a few dealer with new 2009s with PDK. I have to conclude that PDK is a negative in terms of salability. I'd like to hear thoughts on most and least desirable options and colors.

Think your wrong on the PDK. More people like the PDK and desire it. The car is faster, shifts better...just think if you could get your gt3 with PDK? Out here in California with the traffic and then with the open roads outside the city PDK is king.

There are those that still want to row their own gears and control specific aspects of the driving experience.

The 2009 aqua blue convertible launch cars' stacking up makes sense (espec. no sports chrono).
But I still don't understand why some of the 2009 racing green C2S pdk launch cars have been hard to sell. Good options (sprts chrono, xm, etc). The color is absolutely gorgeous on the street, the sand beige interior is beautiful too. Ah, well, I guess I'm in the minority on this one....

The green is awesome. I see one everyday as there is a guy in my office building who has one. He first purchased a 2008 guards red C2S which was nice and then traded it 4-5 months later for a 2009 Green launch car. It is beautiful IMHO!

I like green, too. Wife didn't, at all. Why they sell for less can be summed up as color and demo. There are a lot of youtube demonstrations and reports from journalists driving the green ones. I think most took some hard miles before going back to the lots. I believe every salesmen in the US got at least one demonstration of launch control in one. I heard reports that they repeated the launches so frequently that some cars would "time out" to cool down before the mode would become active again. [I don't think it kills the car but discount? Yes]
I think what someone else said about PDK was true and it WILL be the future once a kick-#ss PDK GT3 comes out. One(the?) problem was how sedate the shift mapping was on the regular Carerra C2 PDK, but now that you can order and have Sport Chrono installed for $1,200, with launch control, I would think that changes.
I had a deposit on the White C2S PDK at Porsche The Main Line and broke it off to keep shopping for a GT3. There aren't hardly any 2009 C2S PDK's to be found asking below 78k, unless they are...green/aqua. I may still go back to that wht/blk car, but owe the dealer props for not hitting my card. $72.5k, on FleaBay. Traffic will make a GT3 feel like a rowing machine, no doubt.

You asked if there were any important omissions. I listed them and used a ? Because the question is subjective
