But I still don't understand why some of the 2009 racing green C2S pdk launch cars have been hard to sell. Good options (sprts chrono, xm, etc). The color is absolutely gorgeous on the street, the sand beige interior is beautiful too. Ah, well, I guess I'm in the minority on this one....
I think they can program the sports chrono in for about 1200 bucks.

I bought one of the PRG launch cars during the sale last year and get nothing but compliments on it. I'd kill for a black car but I'm getting used to the green.. The beige interior is a little overkill but putting black floor mats in cuts the beige down to a livable mix.

I got close to 22K off the 99.7K sticker (2009).C2S PDK, Sportcrono, Bose, and some other crap...

Does anyone just buy one of these cars and just drive it?????? I've bought a lot of cars over my lifetime and enjoyed most of them..
The anguish over the correct color selection, incorrect color selection, options, mileage, history, future value, right year, wrong year, etc. seems to be constantly
argued and discussed to death.

Sorry, just ranting...

and I just enjoy the car...

BTW new car smell is actually all the resins (adhesives, sealers) used to bind things together curing. First month I have new car I try to drive with all the windows open.+1. That smell is actually not good for you. Here's just one of many studies.

Maybe that's why to some people it smells so good - kinda like those guys in school that would sniff white out.

My PRG (Porsche Racing Green) PDK launch car was discounted from 99.7K down to 78.2K with 15 miles on the odometer. I don't consider it a bad thing being a "launch car" at that price.

It had everything that I needed but not everything?? But I'll be darned if I know what it's missing that I need??

Seriously, I'm amazed at the concern attached to a launch car. They seem like the perfect opportunity to get a great car at a great price.. If Porsche makes such a great car then what is the problem with a little usage?
and I bought the car in September of 2009..

I got a similar deal on mine about $20k off for a $78k sticker. Not bad for a pretty well equipped 997.2S. In my opinion NAV and maybe a darker interior and the car would be perfect! Yes black and speed yellow were higher choices as for colors and if I was spec'ing the car from scratch as I did my E92 M3 then yeah choicEs would be slightly different. But not so much that I'd give up or offset a $20+k discount!
