Seems like a neat variant. The next S is rumoured to have 400HP so this variant gets you the bump now. I looked at the specs but didn't get a great ideas of what exactly this variant included besides PDK option, PSE, sport chrono.

Its basically just a power kitted 997.2 wide body yet RWD with center lock wheels and a few extra aesthetic details like the sports bumper and the half and half seats.
I did notice one thing though, and this is wonderful news indeed; they're releasing the paddle wheel *without* the paddles!! Finally us MT guys get to have the beautiful new sports wheel without the superfluous paddles attached.

Looks like the sunroof is an option on the GTS?!?
Wow, and TPMS, and cruise control, and floor mats, and universal audio interface...not even sure if BT is available.
So they add $15k power kit, $3k PSE, but strip $2-4k in options.
$90k S
+18k options
- 4k options
==========
$104k sounds about right?

base S is $90,500
if u add just the power pkg to get the 408 hp @7300rpm like the GTS, it will cost add'l $16,900 (ofcourse, u can also just get a ECU tune and a CAI intake to similate the power pkg at a much lower cost)
then u still have to add $ for the all the other goodies.. but still cannot get the wider rear fender nor the wider track..
sounds like a pretty good deal to me at $103,100. too bad they won't discount it much.
it would have been nice if the GTS came with the GT3 wing

Can't see why anyone would still go for the standard C2S. This only cost a few extra $$$$.
I can't understand why anyone compare this with a GT3. Not only the GTS is much cheaper, it also offer PDK for those who cannot shift! If I want a two seater that handles like a dream, I will buy an Audi R8 V10 or a second hand F430!
Purpose of a 911=Can transport you comfortably to work everyday and sporty enough to be used on the odd trackday

The GTS is <$13,000 more than the C2S. You are comparing a 6MT C2S ($90k) vs. a PDK GTS ($108k). Apples to oranges.

Sorry, I was just using the C2S number that someone posted earlier

Another link to a story about the car. The comments below the article are pretty funny...

I think its funny people are getting worked up over it. The way I look at it, I was spending ~$5k on interior painted pieces, belts, etc. to customize the car - now I'm getting some custom pieces (rear track, RS wheels) you can't get on a standard S. What I really wanted was to never drive up and see someone else in a car exactly like mine, now I have it.
