Guys, we get a hold with the lights and able to order them from manufacture. Because they're new, price is nothing near $250 but we should able to do $700 shipped. Please post interest and if we have enough orders, we will setup a groupbuy.

btw, we're getting a set of sample in a week and will post details review!

I would be interested in the group buy, once you have received your sample set and made your comments on them. Just want to make sure i dont end up with a Porsche crossed with a "ricer" as you Americans call them

I too am interested, but that will really depend on some pics, videos, and reviews ...including hopefully, some unbiased, non-importer, marketer, retailer ones (not that I don't trust you guys!)

So Ray, if you need to send that set out of Canada, you can send them my way

Vincent997S is infamous around these parts

Hi guys,

I am also interested by the replacement of my back headlights by leds.
When I look at these photographs, I wonder whether the distance indicated in green is the same.
It seems to me that not, if not it's not very beautiful.
What do you think about that.

Vincent.

wow Vincent - that's an interesting observation. Something def doesn't look right with that fitment. Only thought that I have is that silver car has some aftermarket bumper (techart or some imitation) which may be different from OEM. I presume the manufactur made an exact replica of OEM tail light convert to LED.

Yes that's right, it seems to be a non OEM bumper !
But, i would like to see the lights on an OEM bumper before making a decision !

That rear bumper is the 997 GT street techart bumper. Although it may not look like the lights are the same dimensions, it's prob just the angle? Manufacturers and vendors would not spend the money to make a product that will not fit the vehicle it was intended... but with that said, fitment can be poor though

I don't think in this case that's only the angle. On the grey car the pic is very close and see the OEM parts on every 997...it's seems really different.
But ...

it seems that is because of the Techart bumper.

Agreed, a proper retrofit of LEDs on 997.1 vehicles would sell like hotcakes. I know from the Audi forums that many owners have upgraded older versions to new ones, but I don't think there were fitment issues with the Audi's.
