Alcantara Dash recover in So Cal?
Does anyone know of a place in the LA area that can recover a 997 dash in Alcantara without signing over my first born child?

I did it on my 996 for about $400 but I took the dash off and reinstalled it myself. I had never done this before, and while it took me awhile to finish, I can tell you that it is totally doable - all the info is on this site or on renntech.

Sounds like a great project. I've been toying with the idea of doing the same or putting in a full leather dash but I am worried about unwanted creaks and squeaks that could appear after the job is done.

My dash is covered in alcantara; although I bought it from another member who is the one that had it done.
I do know that Brabus (mercedes tuner) in newport beach did the work. It is flawless; no gaps or ripples at all. Plus it has deviating stitching throughout.
I have an extra dash I may be interested in selling if someone wants to do this without having to be without a dashboard for awhile.
The dash install process is not that bad, and if you follow the instructions, there really is no chance of squeeks or rattles afterwards.

I'm bringing this back from the dead.
I removed the dash and have the alcantara in hand, I just need to find a good shop to do the wrap. If anyone knows of a place in So Cal, please let me know.

Didn't Axxlrod give you a name months ago. Have you tried that source?

for those not wanting to diy, I've seen some work by Top Stitch Upholstery that looked great:
