Finally .. someone with some positive input... Most of the postings are pointing to the fragility of the darn cars... All I'm looking for is to drive it till the doors fall off many many miles down the road...
Six months ago I decided to put all the miles on the car that I could during the driving season.... I'll be damned if I'll save it for the next owner.

The cliches are true--life is short; time flies--the present is a gift, right? So take this message to heart--enjoy and drive your cars!
very very true

I was just talking to my brother last night. Every time I consider buying a daily driver other than my 997 I just can't pull the trigger because I know I'll never drive it. The 997 is a fantastic daily driver.

Fantastic milestone.

Good to see the car didn't self destruct when the odometer turned over with all those zeros. I look forward to seeing the first 200,000mi 997 in 5 years.

CONGRATULATIONS!

I'm one who STILL at times will constantly obsess about the miles I put on my cars. OCD? Maybe. Hehehe. Or some twisted notion that the less miles I put into my cars, the less likely it'll need to be serviced by the STEALERSHIP. LOL.

But after seeing that you've reached 100K miles in your Pcar, I'm definitely going to drive and drive and drive my Pcar and NOT feel guilty about putting on the miles!

Congrats on reaching this milestone! The 997 is indeed a wonderful daily driver for a sports car. I still can't believe how compliant the ride is for a sports car. I took the day off yesterday and went out for a nice 100 miles drive up the coast. The weather was in the high 60's - just perfect. The car performed flawlessly and was a joy to drive. I am really looking forward to next thousands of miles and smiles it will bring out! Here is a pic taken yesterday (overlooking Stinson Beach). Life is short - enjoy it to the fullest in good heath.

Great to see these cars being driven. I feel less problems happen with the cars I drive than the ones that sit covered....
