It's an "05 C2S that I purchased with 14,000 in 2006, CPO from Newport Beach Porsche. I've only taken the car into the dealer a couple times, slave cylinder went at 40K and again at 65K, both covered under warranty. Also the starter wiring was replaced under warranty. New clutch just a couple months ago. Otherwise, changed the oil every 5K, filters, plugs, etc as scheduled.

By the way, I've owned 3 other Carreras, and I will need to keep this for at least 50K more to not be the lowest mileage one I have sold and for another 225K to be the highest. None of the cars has given me any real problems and I have tracked all of them, especially the highest mileage one ('84 that I sold to a friend with 325K).

Just curious, where do/did you drive to accumulate so much mileage? work purposes or vacation trips?

Both. I've tried owning a daily driver, but I always end up never driving it. I own a commercial property management company, so I do drive a bit for work. But my wife and I have always gone on lots of road trips. We live in the desert east of Los Angeles, so lots of trips to northern California, Las Vegas and Colorado (I used to live in Vail).

I'm driving the car for ME. When the next person gets it, I hope he (or she) enjoys the hell out of it. I didn't buy it thinking about how much I can sell it for; I bought it for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own the car of my dreams.

The cliches are true--life is short; time flies--the present is a gift, right? So take this message to heart--enjoy and drive your cars!
