The Rosemeyer memorial isn't easy to find. The directions available on the web are actually wrong. I followed them to a tee and ended up in the small rest area that had nothing to do with Rosemeyer. Thankfully, there was a truck and a German road worker. First he couldn't understand me but when I said "Rosemeyer" he told me to drive to the next small rest area, further South on Frankfurt - Darmstadt autobahn. If you go, you must know that you can only access this memorial going South on A5. You have to pass Morfelden exit (486) and go slow looking for the very small rest area on the right. When you park there you can actually see "Rosemeyer" sign. You have to walk South on the grass about 70 metres, the actual memorial is about 10-15 meters in the woods on the right. Audi takes care of this memorial. For those who don't know, the memorial isn't where Rosemeyer is buried. It is the actual place where he was found dead (thrown out of the car) after that infamous 400+kmh collision. Rosemeyer's grave is in Berlin.

Your pics of the new museum look like a definite upgrade. ~6 years ago, I visited the tiny museum 'room' in stuttgart before the new space opened up. I'll post old pics of cars, if I can find them.

One interesting thing the guide told me: At the time, Porsche had a program where just about anyone in the company, including janitors, had a chance to borrow the sample model cars and provide feedback.
