A Quickie Mod...
Before I tucked my Pcar for the Winter, I decided to do a quickie mod by changing my silver "S" emblem to a RED one. It's a tad smaller than the original, but it looks just fine by me!
It was easy to get the badge off. I used a WAXED dental floss and worked it under the emblem, making sure that I worked the floss back and forth, changing the floss often. Once the old emblem was removed, I used goof off goo remover. Takes a lot of patience to remove the old adhesive off. I used a microfiber rag which I soaked with goof off solution to rub the old adhesive off.
Finally, I used some Griot's Garage Speed Shine solution to wipe the old goof off solution off. Then, I used a #3 polish on an orbital polisher to polish the area before I placed the new emblem on. Before doing so, I lightly wiped the area with a microfiber cloth soaked with rubbing alcohol.
Cheers,
Vinny

Suncoast has them. They are a sponsor so their add is probably visible along the right side of your screen. Here is the URL: http://www.suncoastparts.com/category/PO.html

They do come with the 3M adhesive backing. Just be careful when you are ready to put them on. DO NOT DROP IT or you'll have a heck of a time getting the grit off of it. PLUS, it'll lose it's stickiness once you've touched the adhesive with your fingers. I've learn from prior experience.
Also, once you lay it flat against the car's surface, it'll be difficult to reposition it if you get it wrong the first time. You'll literally have to put some force into pulling it off and will risk ruining it.
So what I did was I started to lightly put it up against the car's surface starting with the bottom edge, putting it down on an angle and NOT flat against the car. Once I visually confirmed the "S" position, I laid the rest of the emblem flat and pressed firmly to make sure the rest of the adhesive is firmly rested against the car.

Ive never done it before but just a thought.

Dudes, seriously,
I did mine for $3.99 (the cost of the paint from Hobby lobby) and the sandpaper was 1.99 from Home depot and the double sided sticky 3m tape was $3.99 from Home depot. 3 coats... so total, $10 bucks and you have the original size from Porsche. oh, i removed it with dental floss and the residue removal on the emblem with simple green and finger nail and the residue on the car with simple green..... Once you remove the emblem on the car, you will have an out line on exact position of the original, sand it down and spray... and I got a High gloss red that makes it POP! 3 ma tape on 5 slivers and remove backing and stick on the outline.
Sounds like a lot of work, but I spend time with my Baby. oh, my wife think I am nutz also....
