Sorry to be un-origianal (saw the thread about replacement wipers), however I drive mine during the winter.

Last season, I had snow & ice freeze the hinge/ arm-mechanism every other day, rendering my blades useless.

Does anyone have a favorite winter blade? I've seen some that are just a rubber boot that covers a normally hinged blade. Or the solid aero-blades?

Suggestions appreciated.

 

I just got 2 for 1 Valeos at tirerack. They work well although the passenger side blade sticks up a bit at the end for about the first 10% of the sweep. But last winter the oems got gunked up with ice & snow.

Snapped on easy. Can't go wrong for $20.

I've got the solid blade Bosch. Same problem that it is not quite in contact at the end of the passenger side, but TBH I've had then a few months now and you can't tell unless you really look for it.
