Brake fluid recommendations
I want to change out my brake fluid this weekend on a 997.1 C2. Which brake fluid should I use? Suncoast sells the "factory brake fluid" --- will this suffice for a car that sees no track use?

For a non-tracked car the stock fluid is perfect. STAY AWAY from ATE Blue...it is junk and it also dyes your fluid resivour blue...not good.
If you do not want to run stock fluid them run Motul RBF 600 or 660...great fluid and great at the track with high brake temps. Endless makes a great fluid and Castrol SRF is great but way over kill for a non-tracked car.
there ya go..hope that helps out.

Mdrums, curious to know why you think ATE Super Blue is no good (other than staining the fluid resevoir blue). The problem with the stock fluid is that is difficult to tell when all of the old fluid has been flushed....

Hey guys we have the factory fluid listed on our site here!
Let me know if there is anything else we can help you out with.

Agreed, I use the ATE Blue as well on the track and don't have any issues with it.

I track my car a lot so I do a few brake flushes along with bleeds a year. You do not need a color to tell when you have fully changed your fluid. This will happen naturally when you use 2 bottles of brake fluid and do a full flush...now matter what doing it the proper way you will flush the fluid with out the blue dye.

It claims to be a racing hi-temp fluid but it's not. It is no better really than the stock fluid. Also the blue dye is not good either.

However, I insist that ATE blue is good enough for track use not to mention street. You will not boil ATE blue on track. Good thing that DOT 4 trend to absorb less moist than DOT 5. So for me, it is no point to use DOT 5. Just flush brake fluid once a year, using reasonable price and good quality ATE blue
